This is a busy month for us here at school! The classroom is filled with joy and excitement as we prepare for the birth of Jesus and the arrival of Santa Claus. The Children are hard at work preparing a special surprise that you will enjoy for years to come.
This month we will be reading many Christmas stories, including The Night Before Christmas, my favorite. Your child is welcome to bring in their favorite Christmas book. They will be able to sit with me in the front of the class while I read their story for all to hear.
A discussion of family traditions will happen all month. The children will decorate Christmas trees, count Santa’s Christmas cookies, and do a math activity with Christmas erasers. Rudolph and his friends will be joining us for a fun counting activity. Making reindeer food for Christmas Eve is an activity that will happen towards the end of December. This is a special Christmas Eve snack for Santa’s reindeer.
