Week of : 4/28

Math: We are working in chapter 11, reviewing place value and learning how to add double digit numbers.

Fundations: Unit 10 - We are continuing to learning about closed syllables. We will be introduced to open syllables. We will continue to learn how to tap words to read and spell.

ELA - Unit 5 Week 3:
Phonics - We are learning the vowel teams or, oar, and ore. We will spell and read words with or, oar, and ore. We are learning abbreviations such as Mr. Mrs. Dr. St. Ave. etc.
Reading - The comprehension focus is on problem and solution. The genre we are focusing on is biography. We will be reading stories this week and discussing biography characteristics and the problem and solution.
High Frequence Words: began, better, guess, learn, right, sure
Writing and Grammar: We are continuously focusing on the characteristics of a sentence and adding details. We are working on our class book. We are also learning adjectives that compare.


Religion: Our Parish Family

Science/Social Studies: Living and Non-living / Scholastic News
