Music - Mr. Mayo

Dear Families & Friends,
"Must the Summer end so soon?!" That is a slight modification from one of the songs from the Opera, "Vanessa," by American composer, Samuel Barber! But Vanessa's sentiment, although about the Winter, seems to be true for the Summer as well!  How the time seems to fly!!!

Another school year begins and I'm so very excited to see you all as another year of exciting musical opportunities and experiences awaits us all! 

First Friday Masses, Veterans Day, Nativity, Archdiocesan Choral Festival, Grandparents Day, the Cantorum Passion Singers, Children's Choir, Class Music and Specialty Musical Events and the beat of St. Dorothy Music rolls on.

This year, Sister Thomasina has asked that I undertake the Direction of Children's Choir while she continues to play and accompany the choir and I promise to be "emailing" more about the particulars of day and time fo rehearsal very shortly!

I'm sure that I will be seeing many of you at the Water Ice Social, Wednesday, August 27th at 5pm and I look so forward to hearing about all that you've done this Summer over a refreshing "Lemon Ice!"

Under the incredible direction of Mr. Derrick Banks, St. Dorothy Band and Strings gave a wonderful Winter Recital of songs and solo creations for the great enjoyment of a most appreciative audience. Brave to all of our St. Dot's musicians!!!!! We can't wait  for the Spring concert!!!!!
