Although February is our shortest month, it will be filled with many activities. For Groundhog's Day, we will have fun in the shadows by dancing and playing games. We will talk about healthy foods and the importance of brushing our teeth. On Valentine's Day, we will discuss our feelings and how important friendship is. We’ll learn to spell and write the word LOVE and listen to our hearts with a stethoscope. A few United States Presidents will make an appearance in our classroom. At the end of the month, we will learn about Space and the Solar System. Your child is welcome to bring in their favorite Valentine’s Day or Space book.
We will be having a Pajama and Pancake Party. During our party, we will read a few pancake stories and paint a fun craft. The parachute will make an appearance with a fun pig who loves pancakes and syrup.
We will be exchanging Valentine’s Day cards, and the children are very excited for this fun activity. Please help your child prepare cards for their friends. We have 20 children in the class. The children will make special bags for this circle time activity.
