I am so excited to be a part of the St. Dot's community! This is my sixth year teaching at St. Dorothy and I am looking forward to having a wonderful school year. I want to tell you a little about myself. I have taught previously at St. Charles Borromeo in Drexel Hill before they closed. I was the 4 th grade teacher there until I decided to take some time off and stay home with my children.
I have been married for almost 20 years to my high school sweetheart and best friend. We have 4 children that I had the privilege to stay home with for a time. My oldest daughter, Kayla is 17 and in her senior year of high school at Haverford Senior High, my daughter Rebecca is 15years old and is a sophmore at Haverford as well and my son, Sean is 12 years old and in 7th grade. We have our baby girl Tessa who is 3 years old.
I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Mansfield University in 1998 and began my career shortly upon graduation. I was employed at The Goddard School in Exton, PA until I was hired at St. Charles Borromeo in Drexel Hill in 2000. At St. Charles, I taught the 4th grade. I enjoyed my teaching experiences at St. Charles but decided after my second daughter was born, to take some time off and be a stay at home mom. I am also proud to say that after my return to teaching I began a Masters program and completed my degree in Masters of Education at Holy Family University last Spring.
I don't get too much time to myself with 4 children, however, when I do get some time I enjoy reading a good book, creating crafts, managing my garden and going for walks.
