This is to inform you about our upcoming field trip. The First and Second Grades will be going on a combined field trip to The Philadelphia Zoo on Monday, May 22, 2023. Read on for specific information about our trip.
COST: The cost of the trip is $31.00 per student and chaperones. This includes the group fee for the zoo, add on program, “Go Extinct aka Staying Power” and transportation. All money and permission slips are due no later than Friday, April 14, 2023. Please make sure the money (cash only) and permission slip are in an envelope clearly marked with your child’s name.
CHAPERONES: We would like to have 7 chaperones for EACH 2nd grade (14 total) and 11 chaperones for 1st grade. Just a reminder, chaperones must have their clearances up to date to be considered and be listed on the “Complete” Compliance List. If we get more than the needed number of chaperones, we will “draw from a hat.” (If you are selected as a chaperone, we will send you a note requesting confirmation and payment of ticket and bus fare.)
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Students will need to wear sneakers and their gym uniforms for the trip. They will also need to bring a packed lunch, (no cans or bottles please.) Lunches should be in a paper bag clearly marked with the child’s name and then placed in a clear plastic bag, in case of moisture or wetness.
DEPARTURE AND ARRIVAL: We will be leaving Saint Dorothy’s parking lot at 9:00 A.M. and will leave at 1:20 to arrive back at school around 2:00 P.M. Please feel free to contact us should you have any questions or concerns regarding this trip. Sincerely,
