Attention Business Owners...

Business Leadership Organized for Catholic Schools (BLOCS) is an independent charitable organization supported by companies, firms and foundations of all sizes in the five county Philadelphia region. Businesses in Pennsylvania can receive up to a 90% tax credit by donating to BLOCS through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program. This program allows businesses paying certain Pennsylvania taxes to divert part of those tax dollars to schools to be used as scholarships for students in need of financial assistance.

The EITC program has allowed St. Dorothy School to offer tuition relief to many families meeting state financial criteria who otherwise may not have been able to send their children to a Catholic school.

​Find out if your business participates in an EITC program. If so, ask them to designate a percentage of their contribution to St. Dorothy School. If you are a business owner, please consider participating in this program. The taxes subject to this program are:

• Corporate Net Income Tax
• Capital Stock Franchise Tax
• Bank and Trust Company Shares Tax
• Title Insurance Companies Shares Tax
• Insurance Premiums Tax
• Mutual Thrift Institution Tax
• Insurance Company Law of 1921
• Personal Income Tax of S corporation shareholders or Partnership partners
