CARES
The primary purpose of the CARES (Children Are Receiving Extended Services) Program is to provide a productive before and after-school program in a safe and caring environment for younger children or working parents. Our CARES program is staffed by our teachers and offers a balance of homework time and fun time with a snack. A $35/family registration fee will be included with your first CARES bill.
The closing time for afternoon CARES is 6:00 p.m. A late fee of $5 per minute will be charged to those picking up students after 6:00 p.m. Please refer to our CARES Parent Handbook for additional details for a late pick-up.
The program is offered from 7:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. in the morning and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the afternoon on school days. The schedule matches the days of attendance of the school calendar and does not include Saturdays, holidays, half days, or any day on which school might be closed for an emergency.
CARES billing is at the end of each month and the payment amount is entered into your FACTS account monthly.
This program is offered as a service to only St. Dorothy School students. CARES is run by our Vice Principal, Mrs. Jean Callahan. If you would like to register for CARES, all of the required forms can be located under the CARES sub-page to the right.
