Saint Dorothy Parish School was established in September of 1949 using classroom space provided on the third floor of neighboring Saint Bernadette Parish School until the original St. Dorothy School building was completed in 1950. This relationship aided in establishing a traditional school rivalry, especially on the football field between "Bernies" and "Dot's." After more than 60 years, the annual "Turkey Bowl" continues to draw more spectators than many of the local high-school games on Thanksgiving Day. The Turkey Bowl is played every year on Thanksgiving morning alternating between St. Dorothy's home field on Steel Road and St. Bernadette's home field at Dermond. We hope to see you there...Go Dot's!!!
