Please check with your child to see what supplies he/she could use in their pencil case. Some students need new glue sticks, pencils, and crayons.

below to help with fact fluency.
We will begin our Pirate Math Program in class this week! First grade curriculum requires that all first graders demonstrate mastery of addition and subtraction facts within sums to twenty. This memorization must be done through consistent and regular practice at home.

Skills this week:
ELA: Our new story is A Trip to Washington, D.C. We will segment and blend vowel diagraphs -oa and ow. We will identify facts and details in a text and read and identify adjectives . We will blend and read words with 3 letter consonant blends. We will correctly identify adjectives for size.
Math: We will continue Chapter 9 on Measurement and Time. We will continue to compare size of objects and tell time to the hour and time to the half hour using an analog and digital clock.
Religion: We will begin Chapter 16, We Celebrate the Sacraments. In this chapter the children learn that we celebrate God's love in the sacraments.
